The Company Library 2.0?

As it should be at a self-respecting tech company, we have a library at every floor. If somebody wants a new book, we just ask and it will be ordered. You do need to give some kind of argumentation why but I haven't been rejected one yet. Maybe my arguments are good enough or I order the right books :-)


These are some I ordered through the last months:
* VMware vSphere Design - Forbes Guthrie, Scott Lowe, Maish-Saidel-Keesing
* VMware vSphere 4.1 HA and DRS Technical deepdive - Duncan Epping, Frank Denneman
* VMware vSphere 5 Clustering Technical Deepdive - Duncan Epping, Frank Denneman
* Mastering VMware vSphere 5 - Scott Lowe
* Cloud and Virtual Data Storage Networking - Greg Schulz

What's next? I want to read these books off course and I want to share with other colleagues so we can discuss the content. But where do you want to read them? Fank and Duncan write small enough but if you want to take 2 Scotts and a Greg you'll need a backpack for your books alone. So I buy an iPad. Mmmm ... issue ... these paperbaks don't fit into my iPad. So I bought them again through my own Amazon account. You guess where I am going here: my wife doesn't like my job so much anymore.


And then THE solution came through Lendle.me, an online company that allows you to lend out Kindle books you bought. you can give in the books you own and others can lend them. Not all books are lendable. This has to be enabled by the producers (or writers).


Example:

I truly loved the idea. Put in all my books and even payed my € 19 te become a "patron". One of the things a patron can do is create bookclubs. So I did. I created a bookclub for me and my colleagues and invited some of them to be testing dummies.


So lets go, share this sh*t and read it! IT DIDN'T WORK. I'll just give you the screenshot and leave it with that.

I know the restrictions are on the Amazon side of the story but nevertheless it is useless for us. So I beg the community out there: give me a new solution please that works for us.
